from Pristine Regions

Chanchamayo, Peru—situated 1,500m above sea level in the Andes—offers the perfect climate and pristine environment for cultivating world-class coffee.

This unique terroir produces a medium-bodied coffee with a harmonious blend of smooth bitterness and deep acidity, finished with refreshing undertones of sweet strawberry. It is globally renowned as South America’s finest cup, cherished by coffee lovers everywhere.

Hansot & Chanchamayo:
A Journey of Shared Values

In May 2012, Hansot was inspired by the story of Mayor Jung Heung-won—the first-ever Korean mayor in Central and South American history, governing Chanchamayo, Peru. To empower his vision and support the local farmers whose livelihoods depended on coffee, Hansot committed to sourcing their beans.

To shield small-scale farmers from the unfair trading practices of large plantations and middlemen, Hansot bypassed traditional brokers to implement a direct-trade model. This approach secures fair wages for the farmers and channels a portion of the profits back into a community development fund. Hansot’s legacy of social responsibility truly knows no borders, reaching all the way to Chanchamayo.
